Saturday with Jane Austen & Catherine Anderson
Well, for me, I make sure I send my car for inspection almost every month. Well, :) has a cousin who works for Honda Services. So, I usually send my car to him for inspections & opinions related. He will advice on what needs to be done accordingly from the most critical to the less. Well, for ladies its kinda easier if you get second opinion before sending your car for services to any workshop; unless of course you are already familiar with a particular workshop or mechanic. Like going to the same workshop your father sends his car to etc. Why? Because male dominant vehicle service industry tends to treat us as dumb blondes when it comes to anything related to cars or any vehicles for that matters. They will ask you to change and service anything & everything there is on the engine. Obviously I will not have enough budget if everything needs to be done in one shot won't I? So that's what I usually do.
Well, Azrin is carefully calculating her budget as she just moved into a new rental apartment. Both her & Zura (her housemate) just paid for the deposit & still looking for a third occupant. A few candidates seems to be interested; but eventually changed their mind last minute. There was one time; both of them took leave just to help accommodate the new so-called-interested candidate. But at the end; she just called to inform that she could not make it. What a waste of their Annual Leave. There was even a girl who called up in the middle of the night asking about the house but then called back at 2 AM to cancel it. Well, anyone who needs a room in Kota Damansara area feel free to drop a line - I'll sent your message to Azrin & Zura and see how it goes. Not to worry, they are a bit psychotically insane, with a bit temperamental due to stress of work. Other than that, they are fun loving creatures who has a strong sense of friendship.
Well, anyway. Since according to the schedule, 1st Floor staff is more than enough I was placed on the Ground Floor - as the cashier. Ala, its been a while since my last experience at the Register. Well, my guess is that management assumed that senior staff is more competent to be placed at the Registers on weekends & public holidays - to accommodate the crowd ;). Then just before noon; a Chinese lady came over with three books & a credit card. She placed them all on the counter & called someone through her cell phone. As I scanned the price; I checked the title of the book just to double confirm - and to my surprise the priced that was stated on the sticker did not at all match the titles of the book cover. Those were Catherine Anderson's book with Jane Austen's Penguin Classics price stickers. Yup, all three of them. There were also indications that the stickers had been tampered with. I paged for my manager & the Chinese Lady panicked. She quickly asked if there were problems with the pricing (how would she have known it if she weren't doing something fishy right?) & then quickly snatched her credit card and running out of the store saying that she was in a hurry. My manager was still blur as she was in the middle of inspecting the books when she ran out of the store. My only regret is that I did not keep the credit card near to me so that she would not have been able to snatch it and run. Why? Erk, hello there's a name printed on the card right? I surely would like to have the name & lodge a written report to our management. Or better still, put her name in my blog. ;) My manager went straight inside the office to check the CCTV. He informed me that the lady sure spent a lot of time at a remote area tampering the stickers. And he will highlight the matter to the upper management level.
I know there are a lot of people out there who thinks book sellers are dumb, school drop out, etc. Thinking they can easily be intimidated by these so-called highly intellectual creatures with attitude. But they are not. Most bookstores that I know are actually hiring undergraduates, especially in so-called elite area. And they are even trained to handle almost any issues. So, better think twice before actually doing something bad not to mention stupid in the store. Well, other than that everything seems fine I guess. The story telling session, or should I say Story Reading session was not with a big crowd. Quite only a few people actually. It seems that Saturday was with a little crowd in the store. Let the Story Reader spent time with the kids while I continue what I was doing earlier on. Azrin went to hear some briefing from the Supreme Supervisor. I could not care less. I might as well ask Azrin later on. Talk and talk and more talk will contribute to less and lesser and lesser job done.
I am only here during the weekends and I had better get things done as much as possible. Less time for gossip and no time to loiter around. Plus it seems It-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named seems to be in her comfort zone with beloved younger sister who will be leaving in March. In the mean time It-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named seems to find happily find faults with other or making the rest feels as if they are worthless. Hm, good job It-Who-Must-Not Be-Named! Bravo, good enough you are spending more time with your beloved while us the "Machai" are doing the work, clearly showing your favoritism towards your litle sister, showing your supreme power clearly; showing the staff how hopeless they are by finding their faults - a swell job don't you agree?
Maybe IT ought to learn a few thing or two from IT's father since, IT does come from a socialite family. Act like one. Learn the leadership skill IT's father possesses. IT's father is a well known figure and highly respected by the community so a lot of things can be learned even though just by observing. Bapa Borek Anak Rintik - doesn't apply to IT I guess. Well, this is based on what I heard. Yup, I "kena" already and since then I just kept it to myself. If anything needs to be done I'll straight away inform Kak Zue as my Manager. As what my Store Manger would remind me, I am only here during the weekends so enjoy myself and try to have less stress and less gossips around the office. That surely what I am gonna do. Meet my friends over there while working and enjoying myself is certainly what I aimed to do. I'll be there to listen to their cries over what happen, but I'll just keep my comments to myself. For one thing, you can not be too sure on whom you can trust. But to you guys, hang on it there friends. Not all upper management are like It. So don't worry be happy ok? ;)
Well, another thing that we are planning; is the convoy to Ida's wedding this 9th of March. But the program might be disrupted by the unexpectedly announced election day which falls on the 8th of March. I have registered to vote in Ulu Tiram Johor Bharu. My beloved hometown, which I haven't been to in about almost a year. Hm, it is time for me to the perform my responsibility for my country and nation. Hmm, so poyo yes I know. :) So far, me, :), Zul, Azzam, Kak Iza & hubby and Ying Ying have confirmed our attendance. Theme color will be purple. Lucky me as I have already 2 pairs of purple baju kurung :). Now needs to find new tudung, it's been ages since I last bought any new tudung. I have been so stingy with my budget for tudung, I think now is the time to buy some more for my own collection :).
We are planning to go on 2 separate cars, but if there are more to join then perhaps three then; Kak Iza's Red Viva, My Perawan Gold Iswara & Ying Ying Green Kancil. If not enough attendees; then just 2 cars then. Text Lai Wah but as usual, that former boss of mine; still keeping quiet. Ever since Chinese New Year... ker dia yang dah nak kahwin hehehehe. Its all between us, nothing involving others. Planned by me & beloved Kak Iza, so we do the invitations and confirmation for the attendees. Others can go, by themselves that is. So far that is all the people that planned to go anyway. I most probably will be bringing Ira as that marks the beginning of school holidays. She just went back to MRSM last Monday and the school holiday is coming already?! Its either time flies extremely fast or I am beginning to slow down hehehe. Dah tua lah kawan. Well, anyway. Most likely I will be taking a weekend off to spend time with my little sister. Poor girl, I have been too busy to even spend time with her.
My Babah & Bonda will be going to the Philippines & Vietnam for a week. Instead of sending Ira to Johor, as my Babah are positively sure she will not be doing her school work, she'll be spending her time with me in Sungai Besi. I will be spending my time there for a week. Will be going to & from work from Sungai Besi then. Then I have to cook. Oh no, I hope she can managed my cooking. With my cooking, one needs to have a super extra immunity system hehehe. Or else God knows what will happen. I am tougher because of my cooking you know. Well, we'll see what its like later. Have to plan my spending as well. Already missing my little sister here. Sob sob sob

Weekends
As I was there, I might as well ask for the personal loan procedures. I thought of applying for personal loan mainly to settle my phone bills with Telekom. Another 2k to go. It was during the time when I was staying with my sister, but since she is having financial problem (not to say that I don't), I might as well try to settle it by myself. I can't be waiting and asking for it every month, can I? The phone line was under my name and so the summon was written to me. I need to clear it because a letter by the lawyer indicates difficulties in future for loan applications etc. Yeah, I know, some will question my personal loan application to pay for my phone bill will increase my credits. But seriously I can still afford to pay small amount of RM as compared to settle the lump sum amount at one shot. Hehehehe, I already have 3 previous loans that I am still paying. Study loan, car loan & FaMo loan - Father & Mother loan :). the the officer by the name of Yati ( well, I call her Kak Yati out of respect) offered me credit card services as well. Hehehehe I am interested with only the CIMB Petronas Credit Card - from her explanation; up to RM50 discounts on petrol per month. Well to those who uses lot more petrol than I am perhaps the RM50 rebate doesn't worth that much. But to a person like me, who is stingy and tries to save whatever I can; that offer sure sounds ok. There is no annual fee which is good. I mean why pay for a credit card which you don't normally use (save your raised eyebrow for later part of my blog ok). I asked the mode of payment; the interest rate etc. Just to ensure that having credit won't trap me into more and more debt like what it did to a colleague. Every day receiving a call from the bank; regardless at what time of the day sure ain't good. I kept thinking why would the bank kept calling & haunting? Really scares me of wanting to have a credit card. Then I found that IT didn't pay the minimum payment required each month from the bank. No wonder the bank kept haunting. Well, people don't usually tell the whole stories right? Especially if it embarrasses themselves. Well, I just signed the credit card application forms anyway. I am not even sure if it will be approved.
Then I went to Maybank to update my bank book. I have learn my lesson. waiting too long & the transactions will be summarized; & then it will be harder for me to track whatever transaction that I have made. Especially now when I have started to use Maybank2u.Com. Yeah yeah I know, others are now experts at using Maybank2u.Com while I am still "crawling" (direct translation from Bahasa Melayu's merangkak-rangkak). As I was there, I asked about the Petronas Credit Card. Unfortunately it was only meant for those with minimum salary of 2k. So, instead they offer me the Flex card which has no annual fees imposed for the service (I think Flex stands for Flexible). It needs to be swiped at least twice a month regardless of the amount or they will charge you the service charge of RM 3.95 per month. Sounds good, and plus my salary goes into my Maybank account so definitely it will be easier for me to settle my credit card payment. I had intended to use Citibank Shell Credit Card earlier, but I was informed that the interest rate for Citibank Credit Card was slightly higher than other banks. Hm, I don't think its wise for me to do that.
I think credit card, pretty much like what cell phone used to be; is now a necessity. People used to think that those with cell phones are just show offs - well if you are always seen with the latest cell phones all the time; then perhaps indeed you are a show off. But then again, if you can afford it and you have nowhere else to spend your money lavishly - why not. I have had my share of the experience not having enough cash when I need to buy my new battery for the car. But I like they way the credit card consultants at both banks handled my inquiries and their concerns with the credit card concept for my clear understanding. Credit card is definitely not how you are lavishly spending your money (but you ARE spending the bank's money & later paying them back) with an interest if you failed to pay on time with the minimum amount required. That is what most people failed to understand. They make sure I understand the responsibility of having a credit card. A good advice I must say. For an emergency situation, a credit card is very much needed.
Once everything was settled, I went home, cooked some lunch, sweep the house, wash the clothes - well, actually the washing machine did most of the jobs on my behalf :). I love my old washing machine :) After all has been done, I took a nap. Replacing all my loss sleeps due to overworked huhuhu At about 3pm I received a message from Kak Yani informing me that due to HIGH SUSPECTS my leave application for this Monday 18th of February was rejected. Ala, I wish I was informed earlier so that I can try to apply for a swap of Leave since I managed to obtained the leave today. Drats. I had planned to send Ira back to MRSM this Monday. Damn damn damn!!!

Happy Valentine's Day :)
From this website - http://www.history.com/
Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.
One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men -- his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.
Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.
According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl -- who may have been his jailor's daughter -- who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.
While some believe that Valentine's Day is celebrated in the middle of February to commemorate the anniversary of Valentine's death or burial -- which probably occurred around 270 A.D -- others claim that the Christian church may have decided to celebrate Valentine's feast day in the middle of February in an effort to 'christianize' celebrations of the pagan Lupercalia festival. In ancient Rome, February was the official beginning of spring and was considered a time for purification. Houses were ritually cleansed by sweeping them out and then sprinkling salt and a type of wheat called spelt throughout their interiors. Lupercalia, which began at the ides of February, February 15, was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.
To begin the festival, members of the Luperci, an order of Roman priests, would gather at the sacred cave where the infants Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome, were believed to have been cared for by a she-wolf or lupa. The priests would then sacrifice a goat, for fertility, and a dog, for purification.
The boys then sliced the goat's hide into strips, dipped them in the sacrificial blood and took to the streets, gently slapping both women and fields of crops with the goathide strips. Far from being fearful, Roman women welcomed being touched with the hides because it was believed the strips would make them more fertile in the coming year. Later in the day, according to legend, all the young women in the city would place their names in a big urn. The city's bachelors would then each choose a name out of the urn and become paired for the year with his chosen woman. These matches often ended in marriage. Pope Gelasius declared February 14 St. Valentine's Day around 498 A.D. The Roman 'lottery' system for romantic pairing was deemed un-Christian and outlawed. Later, during the Middle Ages, it was commonly believed in France and England that February 14 was the beginning of birds' mating season, which added to the idea that the middle of February -- Valentine's Day -- should be a day for romance. The oldest known valentine still in existence today was a poem written by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt. The greeting, which was written in 1415, is part of the manuscript collection of the British Library in London, England. Several years later, it is believed that King Henry V hired a writer named John Lydgate to compose a valentine note to Catherine of Valois.
Well, I think it will be helpful to know the history before actually celebrating it. Why? Because I am a Muslim (btw have you read a book of the same title written by Dina Zaman? A cool author who speaks sincerely of her mind about the things surrounding her). Reading from the history mentioned, one cannot help but to make a conclusion regarding the main important basic for the celebration of Valentine's Day. It was first celebrated to honour the 3 saints who fought for the glory of Christianity.
So what are we actually celebrating when we say we celbrate Valentine's Day? Exactly - we are actually celebrate the history that is associated with Christian's glorifying 3 saints. Okay people, don't get me wrong. I am not condemning the Christians or anything. But today's blog is mainly to remind myself and others who seems to be celebrating Valentine's Day blindly and not to mentioned foolishly. Well, personally I have nothing against celebrating the day itself. During my "Jahiliyyah Age"; I do celebrate Valentine's Day by sending cards to my family members and friends. During my Matriculation years in Bangsar, the old Jusco in Jalan Telawi used to sell pretty card during Valentines. What makes them different from other cards? They didn't have the word Valentine printed on it, which is a relief. Each time I send a card to my Ayah, he will definitely give me the "Valentine's Tazkirah" over the phone, on why we are not supposed to celebrate Valentines, why Valentine's is not part of our culture - and of course me being me will retaliate each statement given. Father's day, Mother's Day are also not part of my culture - but why are we still celebrating it? Yup, Ayah had to put up with my strong headed arguments.
Perhaps its because love is supposed to be celebrated every day. I mean myBabah did not have to wait for Valentine's day to give my Bonda a bouquete of roses. Then I thought perhaps it wass wrong to celebrate Valentine's because virgins are so ever eager to lose it during this "Holy Day" or because to many sins are being done during this time - for us Muslim as adultery are a strict No-No (I am sure all of you knows right?). Basically my conclusion was that its not right to celebrate Valentine's Day because of the sins Muslims do during the day.
Personally I think that nowadays the Valentine's celebration has been too commercialized. A spokesperson from a local florist mentioned that every year around Valentine's day the price of flowers will be increAsed by at least 30%. No wonder a bouquet of Red Roses now costs around RM 150 and above. It means that couples will have to plan sooo ahead before Valentines Day. Merely because of the money spend on the flowers, gifts and not to mentioned that bloody expensive diners.
Imagine having to spend average of RM 150 for the flowers, another RM 150 for the bears ( it can be more if we were talkingabout jewelleries)
Some interesting facts regarding Valentines Celebration:
- 188 million Valentine's Day cards are exchanged annually, making Valentine's Day the second-most popular greeting-card-giving occasion. (This total excludes packaged kids valentines for classroom exchanges.) (Source: Hallmark research)
- Over 50 percent of all Valentine's Day cards are purchased in the six days prior to the observance, making Valentine's Day a procrastinator's delight. (Source: Hallmark research)
- Research reveals that more than half of the U.S. population celebrates Valentine's Day by purchasing a greeting card. (Source: Hallmark research)
Haha, I do not celebrate Valentines as per say but I still participate in the event activities in the office or my work place with the intention of only bringing joy to others and none personal. So don't expect me to give you flowers and chocolates etc okay love :)

A Lot Of Things That Happen - But Not Much To Say
An explosive video clip released today shows senior lawyer VK Lingam in a phone conversation, purportedly with current Chief Justice Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim, allegedly fixing the appointment of ‘friendly’ senior judges.
The eight-minute clip, said to be originally 14 minutes when recorded sometime in 2002, was made public this morning at the office of PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim in Petaling Jaya.Among the matters discussed during the telephone conversation were the potential appointment of Ahmad Fairuz as the Chief Judge of Malaya (CJM) and his promotion as the Chief Justice (CJ), which eventually took place in 2003.In 2002, Ahmad Fairuz was the CJM, in charge of all High Court judges in Peninsular Malaysia, as well as acting President of the Court of Appeal (PCA). Reading from a prepared statement, Anwar said the revelations proved that his appeals against his sodomy and abuse of power convictions were tainted and that he was denied a proper and fair trial.
In 2002, Ahmad Fairuz was the CJM, in charge of all High Court judges in Peninsular Malaysia, as well as acting President of the Court of Appeal (PCA).Reading from a prepared statement, Anwar said the revelations proved that his appeals against his sodomy and abuse of power convictions were tainted and that he was denied a proper and fair trial.
Such a scandalous expose... only serves to corroborate our allegations of a political conspiracy of the highest level and corruption of the highest judicial office, seriously bringing into question the impartiality of judicial proceedings involving the affected parties,” said Anwar.PKR will seek to submit a special appeal to the Conference of Rulers to take appropriate steps. The party will also lodge a report with the Anti-Corruption Agency and a complaint with the Bar Council.Ahmad Fairuz was on the three-member bench which had dismissed Anwar’s appeal against the corruption charge in the Court of Appeal in 2000.
Anwar did not disclose the identity of the person who recorded the video or who had given the clip to the party, but said it had been edited to conceal the identity of a ‘third party’.The recording shows Lingam walking up and down in a room, talking into a handphone. The inference from the discussion was that “key players” should be nominated for judicial appointments in order to hear cases and deliver judgments accordingly.A main point of the conversation - believed to be with Ahmad Fairuz in the context of the conversation - was that there appeared to be two camps in the judiciary belonging respectively to former CJ Eusoff Chin and his successor Mohamad Dzaiddin Abdullah.“You see, he (Dzaiddin) has now up for [sic] six court of appeal judges, so that he can put his men before he retires,” Lingam said.Later in the conversation, he alluded to this matter again, saying: “No, don’t worry, Datuk. I know how much you suffered for Tun Eusoff Chin... and Tun said ‘Datuk Ahmad Fairuz, 110 percent loyalty!’“We want to make sure our friends are there for the sake of the (then-) PM (Dr Mahathir Mohamad) and the sake of the country. Not for our own interest [repeated], we want to make sure the country comes first.”Lingam himself had been embroiled in controversy after photographs emerged of him and Chin on holiday together in New Zealand in 1994. However, Eusoff denied any wrongdoing. At one point, the lawyer also indicated that earlier efforts to appoint judges aligned to Chin had been thwarted by former finance minister Daim Zainuddin.“You know that’s the same problem that Tun Eusoff Chin has. He tried to do all this and yet, he has run out of soldiers. He couldn’t do it because many are from the other camp. Last time was unfortunate because Tun Daim was doing everything, sabotaging...”Lingam then revealed that “they are going to organise a campaign to run you down; but you just keep quiet. Don’t say anything. Even (when) the press asks you, say ‘I leave it to God’. That’s all."Also implicated in the conversation were business tycoon Vincent Tan and then-Minister in the PM's Department and current Tourism Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.Based on what Lingam let drop, both Tan and Adnan had apparently played an instrumental role in the appointment of judges as well to secure the honorific title of ‘Tan Sri’ for Ahmad Fairuz.“I will also get Tan Sri (Vincent) to remind PM to put a Tan Sri-ship this year, lah. This will elevate you, you know,” said Lingam.Towards the end of the conversation, Lingam acknowledged that “you have suffered...so much you have done, for the election, Wee Choo Keong, everything. How much nobody would have done all this”.Following the 1995 general election, Ahmad Fairuz had upheld a petition contesting DAP candidate Wee’s victory as Bukit Bintang member of Parliament. The ruling saw the Barisan Nasional candidate Dr Lee Chong Meng being declared the winner.Lingam could not be contacted for comment. His office said that he was abroad and is only due back later this month. When contacted this afternoon, the personal assistant to the CJ relayed a message that he wanted to have a look at the video before saying anything. However, subsequent calls to the office were not answered up to 5pm.
Well, it comes to politics I can't really say much. I am in a community where press holds the right to say anything and everything as long it profits the government I guess. 'sigh'. But nevertheless, one know for a fact that this kind of scenario is faced by everyone and anyone in any country where the current government has the hold of almost everything to ensure that they remain in power. Still have a lot of reading to do from any source available :)

Happy Chinese New Year @ Gong Xi Fa Cai
As usual its kinda slow in the morning but as the afternoon approaches more people are coming in, basically just to loiter around before going for lunch or tea or dinner :) Some are in for the free read, some are really looking for reading materials, some are in for the relaxation, some are in to have a date and clueless aiming for anything and everything in the store. Its kinda funny :)
Honestly, I don't think that a bookstore is an ideal place for a date. Why? Because I for one am a sucker to books books and more books so automatically I will be in the "I-am-alone-do-not-disturb-me" mode and most often I shall ignore everyone and everything else around me. I can actually spent hours in a bookstore without even realizing it.
I don't actually have a preferred genre but I love to read books written by Sidney Sheldon, Tess Gerritsen, Dan brown just to name a few and so I think I am more into fiction :). Heavy non-fiction books are something I am forcing myself to read because I know for a fact that these books are full of knowledge and more knowledge. But each time I tried to read one I will feel very sleepy. At the moment I am also reading Bibles and books about Jesus and Mary Magdalene - Dan Brown ignited my curiosity to the world of Christianity.
Well, everything went well and I enjoyed working, heck I won't be doing this just for the extra allowances ok :) I like seeing younger generations putting their interest in books, kinda remind me of my younger years. Books are a great companion, you can talk to them and they won't talk back, they share your pain as you cried reading, they share your joy are you laugh reading :) That is why I love books so very much - thank you to my Ayah who nurtured the reading habits in me.
Well, that's all for now folks. Maybe I'll see ya sometime later :)
Happy Chinese New Year and may you have blessed year ahead!!!

Happy Birthday Kak Yani
Happy Birthday To You
Happy Birthday To You
Happy Birthday To Kak Yani
Happy Birthday To You
Hard to tell whether she was surprised or overwhelmed because she was so calm. Then as she cut the cake; she mentioned "I saw the cake inside Nazrin's car yesterday - So I guess she pretty much have guessed it. After cutting the cake we went back to our respective places and resume work. The cake will have to wait until morning break later on.
The movie activity this evening will have to be postponed to a later date. Kak Lorna's grandma will be arriving this evening so she has to go and pick her up. Ain't that sweet? Granny came just in time for Kak lorna's birthday next week :). So lucky. I shall not be going to my hometown for this CNY. I chose to work. Thursday in BTC, Friday & Saturday in MMC & later on Sunday back to BTC. Friday 3ple pay & Saturday double pay! Pergh, not to be missed. God knows when the next OT will be coming to us. So, better do it anyway. Saving my AL for May. Parents going to Germany during school holidays and I wanna spend some time with my sister. Well, that's my plan; but it depends on how the job situation will be during May as well. I can't guarantee a free schedule though.
There's a lot thing on my mind but I just don't know what to be written first. Some opinions I would like to express from reading the M-Star column; from what I heard from BTC; etc. We'll see later if I have the time not to mentioned the ideas as well. But for now, that would be it.
Happy Chinese New Year to all.

The House in Thaipusam
Ada beberapa cerita yang di kongsi bersama. Pasal yang seorang itulah. Saya cuma senyum ajer. It seems that a new girl has join the Kiddies. A very talkative person and according to Azrin very mush praised by the It-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. I can see that. They spent so much time together yak yak yak. Well, It-Who-Must-Be-Named is THE Supreme, so I guess no one can tell her not to chat that much. In fact no one can tell anything! Well, obviously It thinks IT has been so perfect that no one is better that It is. It knows how to do it's job better than the rest, knows more than the rest and above all perfect! Yeah right! Whatever - and yet It still questions why everybody seems to be ignoring It? Hm, slow gak dia ni kan?
Well, I have got plans with the Movie Buddies after work. The chosen movie - The House (Thailand Horror Movie). We plan to scare ourselves. We here referring to Kak Lorna & myself. The guys were not interested in doing so pun hehehe. Azzam & :) wanted to have something to eat befoe the movie begins. So me & Kak Lorna went to collect the tickets. We had a heavy discussion as what movie to watch at the counter (We haven't actually had any final say). We asked the people at the ticket counters for their opinions & we even called the guys to give them some description about each movies. And so we chose The House. We got the tickets and went to see the boys at Santai. Azzam went for his prayers and we've agreed to meet up at the Cinema shortly before the movie begins. As we were walking down The Street, Azzam pops up from God knows where and so we went straight to the Popcorn counter. Kak Lorna treated us again for the Popcorn. Nanti lain kali kita belanja akak pulak yea. So, the movie begins Huhuhu
I am so lazy to write and so I paste here the sypnosis of the movie I obtained from someone else's blog and review.
She has been warned not to enter The House but Shalinee (Inthira Chaloenpura - the Heroin of Nang Nak) is a TV reporter assigned to make a documentary about a murder that happened six years ago. It is her duty to check out the crime scene even though a caretaker has refused to let her in. However, even from the outside, Shalinee gets the feeling that The House is haunted. She even manages to capture images of a female ghost on her video camera! Shalinee sneaks into the spooky shack at night - ALONE!
The House", also known by its Thai moniker, "Banpeesink", is based on three real-life murder cases that are all connected to a particular house near a hospital. The first case, on 18 Sept 1959, involved a nurse, Nuanchawee Patchara, who was raped, strangled and dumped in a river. The second, on 28 Sept 1999, had a woman named Jarmjuree knifed and cut up into pieces by her boyfriend; and the third, on 20 Feb 2001, involved a woman doctor whose body parts were found near a hotel in Bangkok. How the House is connected to all these cases is open to conjecture but Arayangkoon offers his own reason at the end of the movie. It is a lame one by any count.
Of course, a large part of the movie deals with Shalinee's life, especially her problems with her husband Parnu, and a colleague named Shane who has the hots for her (but besides the vision the husband has had in his mind, nothing was shown as why the husband would have this idea). There are elements of jealousy, spiritual possession and betrayal but these are poorly developed and they lack credibility. Many of the scenes shift so randomly that they are confusing.Lead star Chaloenpura,, puts up a credible performance as an inquisitive and determined journalist. However, she is largely hampered by a weak script and poor direction that requires her to scream like a brainless schoolgirl. Still, she is the only bright spark in this horror thriller that is more to be tolerated than be thrilled about.
Scary? Oh yes, the scary element worked in the "normal-creepy-dark-" surrounding that was largely used by Thai directors. It never failed to scare me though. It still does. Even there are occasions where I accidently grabbed Kak Lorna's arm a bit too hard. Ampun Kak, saya terperanjat. Itu yang terpegang tangan akak dengan kuatnya tu. Tak sengaja. By the way, the ones highlighted in red is the one I paste, the one in blue is of my own opinion. Overall, I believe the plot was a loose one.
Well, even though the 3 incidents mentioned in the movies were based on true stories; they could not come up with an interesting interpretations as to why they think the house is connected with the murders. They did not offer any, if not so little interpretation of themselves. Well, I was so frustrated when it came to this part. For, since I knew that it was based on true accounts, perhaps they could come up with ideas like maybe the house was built on a burial ground, or the pillar was made from the tree where they tortured or killed people during the war, or perhaps people who once stayed there dabbled in black magic etc etc. The point is there are a lot of interpretation to the story. Pick one which is not lame ler. Heck I am not even a script writer myself, but one noticed that during interview session some folks did mentioned the war era, and also during the end when Shalinee had wanted to burn the pillar ( it seems that the pillar is the source of everything that happen; at least that is what shown in the movie) she was "trapped" or somehow "transported" to the scene whre there were wars raging (bit like Constantine her). So obviously something can be shown the ease the viewers anticipation right?
According to what I have read in regards with murders;
First case: The Nuanchawee MurderIn September 18, 1959 Nuanchawee Patchara, a nurse was strangled and drowned by a group of men. Her body was found in the Choa Praya River. Around the time of murder, she was having an affair with a married doctor, Utid Kajorndate who became a suspect. He finally confessed that he hired a group of men to kill his secret lover after she had threatened to tell his wife about their affair.
Second case: The Jarmjuree MurderIn September 28, 1999 Chalerm Songkramkrad, a medical student, murdered his girlfriend, Jarmjuree Ploysawangsri in a cold-blood manner, and then tried to discard the body by amputating the limbs and slicing his dead girlfriend into tiny pieces, after she tried to break up with him. He later confessed to the police that he did it out of jealousy.
Third case: The Dr Pusuratt MurderIn February 20, 2001 a female doctor, Pusuratt Bhungaysornpan was reported missing. The police later found pieces of human tissues which matched the DNA of hers in the central drainage at the famous hotel in Bangkok. Doctor Watson Bhungaysornpan, her husband immediately became a murder suspect with the motive, that he had wanted a divorce and start a new life with his new lover.
But during Shalinee's "Interview" with the ghost of Nuanchawee Patchara - What I concluded was that the ghost seems to be doing its duty to remind all ladies that they were the cause of what had happened in the house. She even put the blame on Shalinee for ignoring her signs and advice to stay away from The House. This is the part where I don't understand. What did the ladies do that gives the doctors rights to kill them? What was the ghost's clear message to Shalinee - women are the caused for the guys suffering that leads them to the killing of their once beloved spouses or partners? I just couldn't get the idea of the whole thing that the director was trying to make out of it. Or perhaps I was just being too slow to understand? I don't know.
Really, appreciate some feedbacks frm those who have watched the movie. I am exhausted from the scare and frustrated from the lack of understanding about the movie. I know most of you are not even reading my blog, but for those who did; really apprecite if you could help me with the understanding of the movie.
Not to worry, I still crave for horror movies. This definitely will not stop me from continuing my interest for horror movies. Next in line will be The Eye and One Miss Call. So movies----watch out for me!!! Or should it be the other way round? :)

The Unsung Heroes.....
This morning we managed to leave earlier than usual. We arrived at the Cyberjaya toll around 7:40 AM. There was a red car parked in a weird position on the left lane of the toll. I thought I saw smoke coming from the front of the car. Perhaps its the engine. But its kinda dangerous for him to leave his car there since it is just too near to the toll gate there. Though other vehicles have other 2 lanes for cash payment, I just thought it would be better for him to park the car at the parking area right after the toll.
"You guys nak tolong tak?" I asked the guys. Well, I had the intention to help but I could not imagine myself pushing the car in my Baju Kurung hehehe. Well, the guys turn around to look at the poor fella. I kept asking them and then Azam responded "It is still early right?" "Yup, we still have time,"I replied. "I think we'd better help him to push the car to the parking area," said Azam. So I parked my car by the roadside while Azam went to see the guy to offer his assistance. Jai went after him & together they managed to push the car to the parking area. Poor guy but lucky for him there was Azzam & Jai - my unsung heroes hehehehehe

Gabriel Part Two & WLR 924
After we managed to get 2 pairs of tickets, I decided to queue (again) to redeem another pair of tickets for the last cut-out coupons that Kak Lorna obtained from her cousin, while making her way to The Curve's Cineleisure. Well, the lady at the counter did mentioned that she can only give a pair of tickets per one cut-out coupon at one time; mainly to avoid people from taking the whole stack of free tickets. Kak Lorna had 3 cut out coupons with her that day (hehehe Kak Lorna was really excited about this one I guess) and I had one. She met a couple of friends who were queuing as well, and asked them to help redeemed the third cut out coupons. And for me, hehehe I opted to re-queue after the last guy in the line. Well, the lady at the counter also did mention that once the line ended and if there were still tickets available, we can redeem them. And so that's what I did. Ok, ok so I was more interested in queuing up for the free tickets rather than the eagerness to watch the movie itself. Hey, it is definitely not a sin tau! The last time I obtained such free tickets was way back in 2002; I think. I entered an SMS competition organized by the Gempak Magazine(I am such a big fan of Gempak & Utopia) and won a free tickets (3 to be exact) to the Cartoon Movie Spirit The Stallion of Cimarron at the TGV KLCC. I dragged my two friends (Ono & Kak Umi who kinda reluctant to watch a cartoon inside the Cinema) to accompany me and I got a free T-Shirt for the Lucky Dip at the entrance just before the movie. The cartoon was great too. So after 5 years the anticipation is back again. :)"Now I feel stupid" , Kak Lorna told me as we were loitering in front of the Cinema waiting for Azzam & :). "Before, I was eager now that I have the ticket I feel stupid". I could not help myself and smile to that statement. Well, come to think of it, I do feel a bit stupid too. Why? Well, arriving there at 7 PM then queuing for almost an hour and a half just to get the tickets. And after the counter was opened, we managed to get the tickets in less than 5 minutes (less than 10 minutes, if you count my queuing for the second time). And we still have about 45 minutes before the show. "Let's go & have a drink first la" - Now that's a great idea. As we were walking to the LG, we saw Shanie, the actress at one of the food courts just below the Cinema. She looks kinda cute; nothing to do with her big size ok?! But since we were rushing to get something to bite, we just went straight to the escalators. Decided to go to Kopi Oh and bought myself a cup of Ice Coffee and Kopi Oh Sandwich. Like what Kak Lorna mentioned, we still need to have a room for the popcorns later on. :) arrived and joined us there. 10 minutes to 9:30 we went to get our popcorns. Kak Lorna bought the Beowulf Popcorn Set for me & Azzam! We were so happy! Well, at least I am ler. Bestnyer! Bestnyer! Bestnyer! I am just dying to show off the glass to my colleagues, but :) said it would not be nice to show it off to them. Drats, I thought.
Well, as we walked towards the cinema hall, I went for the look out, just to ensure we won't be sitting next or near to someone someone hehehehe. Guys you know who they are. Just nice, the cinema hall was exactly at the entrance. As we were making our way towards the left seats in the middle row, suddenly a bunch of big size guys wearing Proton shirt came walking right up and squeezing us in the middle! Aaaah, we heard Kak Lorna screamed, (and those bunch of monkeys; I mean guys wearing Proton's shirt were mocking her!) Mangkuk betullah diorang ni tau! Nak jalan pun macam gorila berkelompok kelompok atas jalan tu, tak peduli orang lain. We chose our seats and waited for the movie to begin.
Well, the movie goes like this----------Erk, hello! I ain't gonna tell you about the movie. I don't wanna spoil it for you It is still new in the cinemas. Go and watch it people! I actually enjoy watching Gabriel. The plot was ok, not bad. The twist of the story was nice. Music not bad. Kinda like it actually sorta hard rock kinda music. But Kak Lorna mentioned it to be more of the music for the play station type of game. Perhaps its because I didn't really have a high expectation for the movie. But through & through I personally think the movie was great. Not really that excellent but worth the money I guess. If you are a fan of this kinda movie. Do not compare it with Constantine, it would not be fair. But the character of the Gabriels in both movies are so different now. While the former is out to create havoc; the latter is out to bring in the light to the Purgatory. It was an indeed an interesting movie. Go and watch. But no guarantee if you will be disappointed with it ok?! Especially the ending part.
Kak Lorna & Azzam seems to be chuckling & giggling throughout the movie. Kelakar pulak bila teringat balik. Those two kan, memang tak boleh duduk berdua bersama. Ada ajer cerita kelakar dia tau! Heheheh Soup di atas & Maggie di bawah. What's that? Watch the movie & you'll understand. The movie ended around 11:30 PM. Hehehehe once the movie ended we departed and promise to see each other at work the very next day. Went to take :)'s bike at The Curve before riding together to my car. I am such a cheapskate that I parked for free behind the McDonald's near the IKEA roundabout. As I was opening the door, suddenly the there was the air-cond engine noise from the Kelisa (WLR 924) parked behind my car. Wallawei; I was so surprised that I turned to take a glance at the car. Sekilas pandang macam tak ada apa apa. But I thought I saw something in between the seats. Again I looked, laaa, there was a couple inside the car. Both of them sorta sitting in a stuck position in between the front seats before managing to seat properly back on their respective seats. What were they doing? No speculations here, figure it out yourself ok? But if they were doing what you think they were doing, they might wanna stop and think the consequences of doing so. I do know that police are doing their routine check up there. They might end up either having to bribe the cops or being taken action for their acts back there. Cheh, I am more angry than disgusted with them. Angry because they gave me the scare. Nasib baik I tak pergi calarkan kereta perempuan tu. Well since she was the one sitting behind the wheel, I assumed its her car then.
I quickly start my engine and drove home. I don't wanna wait there for they might suspect me of spying on them. Banyak lagi kerja nak di buat daripada mengintai orang dalam kereta di malam hari. Lagipun kena rehat sebab esok nak bangun awal. Quickly went to Lala Land once I put my head on the pillow. Nighty Nite Friends zzzzzzzzz............

Gabriel Part 1
I read about a new movie that will be showing in cinemas this week beginning on the 17th; titled Gabriel - well, judging by the title I believed that somehow it is connected with angels and such. I wonder if it will be as good as Constantine. It all started last Monday the 14th when me and Kak Lorna were discussing about new movies that we planned to watch. We talked about Gabriel and judging from the trailer it looks good. No to mentioned the soundtracks, too. Well, we still need to plan the date.Well, I am kinda broke and therefore I have no entertainment budget this month. Need to carefully calculate my spending so that I can manage until my next payday. Yeah, I accidentally miscalculated my budget while paying my bills last week. But then again, since I know that the money was used to pay my bills, I have no regrets. But I do need to carefully calculate my spending so that it can last until the end of the month. Hm, to watch or not to watch - that's the question ( feel free to add a little bit of Shakespearean touch here).
On Tuesday I was little bit late; again. Then when Kak Lorna saw me; she showed me a piece of newspaper cutting from The SUN - for Gabriel ticket redemption at Cineleisure The Curve TODAY! Wallawei, I could not believe my luck. I can watch the movie while still be within my budget. We planned to go there straight away after work. It is after all a free movie, so my bet, there will be a lot of people there as well. Though I do not predict a heavy crowd, as I noticed that there wasn't a wide promotion for this movie. Could it be because its an Australian product?
Kak Lorna asked Alif & Boy to join us. But they wanna go back home first, change clothes and freshen up I guess. Aiyah, kalah perempuan betullah diorang ni. Well, never mind. The core team would be me, Azam; Kak Lorna and :). I will be meeting Kak Lorna there; we'll be queuing together. Azam & :) will be coming after Maghrib. Let them pray first. Ticket redemption will begin at 8:30 PM but even as I arrived there at 7 PM, people are already in line. Pergh, and I thought we were early. This is my first time redeeming free tickets. I must say I am more interested in redeeming the tickets rather than watching it. Don't get me wrong. I am excited to watch Gabriel but I am just more excited in redeeming the tickets.Well, as I was lining up properly, an Auntie who sat next to the pillar said to me "I am queueing in front of you yea?" - I don't even know where she'd come from. Kak Lorna insisted to stand in front of the Auntie, but I just stand behind the Auntie. Since I am still in the first 15 to queue, I don't really mind as I strongly believe I can still get the tickets. Even though there's this Auntie in between us, me and Kak Lorna continued chatting through the waiting hours. Hello, in case you missed the lines just now, I did mentioned that I arrived at 7 PM and tickets redemption only begins at 8:30 PM. Make your calculation for the period of waiting time there.
We talked about almost everything and nothing at the same time. Kak Lorna told me how she used to work in GSC, when it first opened in One Utama. The pioneer batch in fact, that they took a picture of her to be placed in their website for job vacancy. Just go to their website http://www.gsc.com.my/ and click on the vacancy button at the bottom of the page. there's 5 people on the header of the page right? She is the one at the far right? Yup, for those who already knew her, yup, that's her (during the not so "chubby" & slightly longer hair era). Kenapa? Tak percaya? Percayalah. Jangan biarkan diri anda di selubungi misteri. Hehehe
While staying in line, there was one Chinese Lady who walked past us and start queuing in front of the next table. I was curious and furious. Curious as I was wondering if it is permissible to queue over at the next table. And furious because; if there is no such thing as the next line then the lady should be queuing behind us as well! Oklah, benda free kan? Obviously everyone wants to get them but everyone should used the proper channel and be polite to others as well. As I was mumbling non-stop to myself; obviously; Kak Lorna went over to check the next line. "Its for the magazine coupon lah Sya. Magazine Spotlife". Oh really? Its a good thing I didn't went over and gave her a piece of my mind. If not, pergh surely I'll be too embarrass to watch Gabriel later. Patient is virtue, hehehe. I am known to be a bit temperamental. Ask anyone who knows me, especially those who are close to me. What? You don't believe me. Ok, ok fine! I AM A VERY temperamental person; I admit. Puas hati?! Sheesh people, you guys can be sooo not-rock at times.
The Spotlife redemption counter opened way before the SUN. We can only envy those people who have already redeemed their tickets. Kak Lorna jokingly wanting to buy the magazine in order to redeem the tickets earlier. Just a few more minutes to go, before the tickets can be redeemed. Penantian suatu penyiksaan, betullah kata orang orang tua. They are the wise one. Hmmmm.....
When the representative came to open the redemption counter, I can sense the relieve & gladness surrounding me there for a moment. People seems to be alive & lively once more. Okay, I sound exaggerating I know. But seriously people didn't look so gloom anymore. Mainly because the counter is open; and secondly because it was handled by a cute girl hehehe. Such a tactic to ensure no one would go crazy while redeeming the tickets. Hm, at last we are a few steps closer to the tickets.
One...
Two...
Three...

Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the tickets. Aha aha aha

AEON Express Card
Another thing that needs to be settled is the 1st month payment once the purchasing has been approved. The deposit of RM50 is just for the booking of the gold bracelet. So once it has been approved, then the 1st payment of RM115 needs to be made. That is for :) to pay later on. It took quite a few days it seems. They kept forgetting to ask of certain documents and thus making us kept coming back to the store. Aiyah, so not efficient. The last draw was when they asked us to come another day, after we've informed them that we will be coming to collect the bracelet on that very day. The reason - the girl who usually deals with the payment procedures was not around to attend to us. I told them that we ain't coming back. If it can not be settled then we would like to have deposit back & purchase the bracelet some where else. Then- apparently it can be done. Give me a break, don't tell me for a shop that opens 7 days a week only has one experienced cashier. 1001 excuses seems now easier to fulfill. Sheesh, kalau malas nak buat tu cakap ajerlah. Poor customer service I must say.
Now I am beginning to think what to buy for my Bonda's Birthday this coming May. Hmmmmm, any idea?

You Are Soooooooooooo Dead Aaron!!!!!!!!!!
Slowly I tiptoed behind Aaron & tapped his left shoulder as he was talking to the Masked Man. "Oh Hi......," he was smiling sweetly & not to mentioned innocently to me. I returned the smile before saying out loud, " You are soo dead Aaron. How could you not tell me that Russell Lee is coming to BTC? You know how I am such a die hard fan of Russell Lee! How could you forgot to tell me? You are so dead Aaron. So dead in fact you won't be alive." There I was babling about how dead Aaron would be that I was forgetting that Russell Lee was in front of me. I had almost missed him again. I had missed him when he first came to Popular Book Store in Ikano end of last year, because I had to work in the afternoon shift.
One of Russell Lee's comrade took some gifts and hand it over to me. "Its ok, he is still here not to worry. You can still get his autograph", I think she is trying to calm me so that Aaron can still breath and lives. You are so lucky Aaron. And so I went to meet Russell Lee, THE RUSSELL LEE! We shook hand & I introduced myself. Oh My God, I think I talked non-stop. I was stammering and kept on blabbering on and on and on. I sure hope he is not bored by the things that I shared with him. I sounded and acted a bit poyo I think. Well, :) agreed on that. Cheh! I shared with Mr Lee on how I have his whole collection with me; how I am using it to teach :) English; how his books taught me not to be scared but rather to see ghosts in another perspectives; how his books are motivationally inspiring especially in cultivating reading and writing amongst young readers around the globe. I am not really sure whether he was impressed with what I said or with my capability to express everything within a gasp of breath hehehe. I don't know which is which. Whatever it is, it is just inspiring to have actually met him. Really! I thanked God for leading me to the events today and it is truly a memorable and cherishable one for me. When we did the Russel Lee handshake, he teased me by purposely swinging his hand sideways when we were doing the high 5. Hehehe the Singapore Master Of Horror still has his sense of humour I believed.
When I took picture with him, I can see that the people who were sitting were actually trying to take a look at who I am. The girl who expresses such enthusiasm & passion while meeting Russell Lee, whom they might never heard of anyway. That is when it hit me, perhaps I was a bit poyo while meeting Russell Lee just now. Well, whatever. Those who knows and feels the passion will understand what it is like. He signed a poster for me and gave me the freebies, including a Cell Phone pouch. Seronoknya!!!!! I put the poster inside my file, to ensure that it will not be ruined by the rain outside. and I went home smiling non-stop. Smile & Smile & Smile & Smile.
The End
Shortage of RM50!!!!!!!
Sometime later I was informed that I might need to do cashiering since there's this guy who went MIA for 3 days now. Pergi Tak Kembali. Wallawei dah lama tak buat cashiering New Year pulak tu. There I was after my break, stranded alone at the cash register. Called for back up but no one came. Boo hoo hoo. Sedihnya. Sudahnya, short RM50! Hwargh, tidak!!!! Katakan ia tidak berlaku. Malangnya ia telah terjadi. Ya ampun sedihnya saya. masa jumpa Big Boss ambik gaji, Big Boss tanya "When are you coming back?" "After 13thlah Boss". That's the last day I am with the promoter thingy hehehe. Took the money and went straight away to the CO to pay my RM50 shortage! Hwaaaa..........
Happy New Year 2008
Tengah makan Kak Iza telefon. Biasalah hal tempat kerja. Kepada siapa lagi kami nak bercerita nasib diri, mengadu nasib badan. Sesama kamilah jawabnya. Tak percaya pada sesiapa lagi. Tak suka nak mengadu pada management. Kerja budak budak. :) order sate untuk keluarganya. Tapi muka :) dah kelat pasal saya bercakap dengan Kak Iza sepanjang makan malam. Tahu dia bengang tapi tak sampai hati nak letak gagang. Bukan selalu Kak Iza telefon.
Jadi masa masuk kereta saya hidupkan enjin dan terus memandu; sambil sebelah tangan memegang gagang telefon. :) masih menarik muka. Selesai bercakap, (terpaksa beritahu Kak Iza yang saya sedang memandu) kami mula bergaduh pulak di dalam kereta. Dah lama tak bergaduh sebegitu sekali. A very heated argument! Kami tak bercakap sepatah pun lepas tu. Masing masing menyepikan diri sampailah balik rumah masing masing. Terasa susahnya kalau berdua. Sometimes makes me wonder whether I should stay single. Lebih senang dan mudah. Being alone doesn't necessarily means being lonely, right? You chose your own feelings. So I chose not to be lonely, even when I am alone.
Selesai hantar sate terus balik ke rumah dan zzzzzzzz...... Esok kerja pagi tak boleh tidur lewat hehehe

Rumah Anti

Once inside a lot of people were already there. Most of them sat outside; accompanying the barbeque stove I guess. There's Kak Yani, Nazrin, Oni, Farid, Amin, Rohit, Nazmi, Christian, Arif, Mas, Syasya, Kak Ila - Aizan & BF, Kak Liza (was there since morning) arrived the same time as we did. Akmal was playing the electric guitar accompanying Aliff who is singing the lyrics out from the laptop. The 2 entertainers, WOW, they have thought of everything don't they?
There were the barbeque - cooked routinely by Arif, Kak Yani, Nazrin. The Nasi Goreng was gone, but Kak Liza's famous "Sambal Ikan Bilis Cili Padi" is still there. So, I took Spaghetti with the Meatballs while adding up the Sambal Ikan Bilis Cili Padi to it. Weird? Eh, sukalah! My choice of food, my mouth, my teeth, my stomach, my erk, lets just stop there ok. Takut ada yang tak lalu nak makan sambil sambil membaca blog ni pulak. We ate almost everything, but I think we were more thirsty than hungry. I myself, kept drinking than eating. Hehehe but I still add the spaghetti & I took some barbeque Squids, Prawns as well. Might as well so that I won't go back hungry right? Mas came over and feed a spoonful of Caramel Puding to me - hm manjanya. That what was I thought; but for the next split second I changed my mind. Pergh, they were all looking at me as I struggle to swallow it down my throat. I can't really hide my expression I think for it caused them burst with laughter. Cheh, hampeh dot com korang nih. Baik ada makna rupanya. Well, at least its a good thing. I had wanted to take one caramel puding later, but now I know that it is not wise to do that. Sebab itu kita di galakkan berkongsi kan? Hehehehe
About almost eleven, we gather around at the sofa for Anti wished to say something and to recite the prayer as well. I believed that Kak Lorna & Andre will be coming in a short while. Kak Lorna came slightly earlier than Andre, and she has a birthday present for Andre too! "I got you a bag that I stuffed with nespapers inside" said Kak Lorna. Yea ke? Takkan beg ajer kot? "Open the freakin' bag;" she countinued. Aaww, sooo sweet a Sponge Bob Plushy. Big size too. Hehehe thought so.
Well, as we put our hands together for the prayer, Anti has asked us to begin with the recitation of Al-Fatihah. Before reciting the doa, she shared her views with us in regards of her religion background etc. On how some might find it irony to have a "Telekung" & a praying mat in one room and a picture of Jesus in another. Well, Pendek has all including a picture of Buddha all in one room! Therefore, I am not really that surprised at all. It depends on how one view the religion really.
I remembered a story during the time of Prophet Musa or Moses as it is mentioned in The Bible. There were 2 disciples of his who has been highlighted by HIM to the prophet. Disciple A never misses any of the Prophet's classes & sermons, where as Disciple B tends to miss the classes due to work. Therefore, as one might guess, obviously Disciple A is loved more by the Prophet than Disciple B. When Disciple A died, the prophet would like to have a proper burial when he received the instruction from HIM to abandon the body & let it be eaten by the coyotes. Prophet Musa was puzzled; but nevertheless he proceeded as instructed. But when Disciple B died, Prophet Musa was advised to do a proper burial for him instead. Puzzled as he was, Prophet Musa went to meet with the late disciple's wife. Wife of Disciple B mentioned how each night before going to bed, Disciple B always seeks HIS forgiveness for not being able to attend the prophets sermon and prayed that he will still be blessed by HIM for he believes that was what has been taught by the Prophet. A shocking answer was obtained by the wife of Disciple A. His wife described that every night before going to bed, Disciple A would always sigh and said " How I wish what's said by Prophet Musa was nothing but the truth". Surprised? I bet not as much as the Prophet was. Dear readers, please do correct me if you found any mistakes from my narration. This is what I have read, but I can't remember exactly from which book. Therefore, I believed what's important is your faith in HIM, regardless of who your BIG BOSS is.
Some of the words really touched me. Its true what Anti had said earlier on. Its the connection with the Big Boss which is the utmost important thing for us. As she prayed in her indonesian language, what I can summarise - To be blessed with a better year 2008, to become a better staff in the office, for her to be a better boss in office (kantor, lama tak dengar perkataan tu). There's more but I can't remember. Once I remember I'll let you guys know by adding it in here ok.
Well, soon after the doa recitation we went home. I am kinda tired & sleepy due to my job description; standing all day that is! Sent Jai, and then went straight to bed! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Well, I am currently stuck with plans here. I had promised Zul & Lisa that we will be spending time together after almost a year not being able to hang out with them. But, I haven't been able to attend any previous functions held by my colleagues. Hmmm, how am I gonna solve this? Plan to go out on Saturday night instead. But hey wait a minute! Zul will be going to Singapore this Friday night. Why? Because his tennis pro player girlfriend, Maria Sharapova will be playing against Anna Chakvetadze at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sunday the 30th. Well, I decided to ask Zul & Lisa if they wanna join me for Andre's Birthday Party.
After all Andre did mention bring your boyfriend (that will be :) ), galfriend (that will be Lisa) and gayfriend (that definitely will be Zul). So, I text them to inform them of my idea, and fortunately they agreed to it.
So, plan is after work I'll be sending Jai home (Azam was on MC - I believe he got the combination of flu & diarrhoea), pick Zul, Lisa & :) and then we will go straight to Traders Hotel (God knows where that is). :) called to inform that he has a last minute work to be done. Apparently a machine needs to be prepared for tomorrow's delivery and that he was only informed last minute of the situation. Hm, this is what happen if you are under employment. Well, never mind then. As long as there were four of us, I'll be fine.
Before leaving home, I received a call from the part time agency which I am currently working with for the weekends. I was informed that eventhough I am entitled to an hour's break I was not advised to skip lunch and go back earlier. Last Sunday when I was sent to Ampang, I had skipped lunch and opted to go back earlier at 7 instead of 8PM. Well, what's the difference anyway? Assuming I took my break at my final hour of duty, that's the same right? Creating a fuss over a small matter. Flashback to last Sunday.
Last Sunday I was asked to go to Ampang on the pretext of "helping out". I asked a few times for clarification. Helping out means I am helping someone there right? Yes, he said. Means that someone will be there with the stuff and I'll be helping out with the sale right? Yes, he said. :) told me, Nope I think you are going to be alone there. Better don't go. But, I insisted that there will be someone there & opted to go & "help out". Well, he did say yes to the above questions right? Can you blame me for believing him. Lurus bendul sangat. Tak mahu dengar cakap orang padanlah dengan muka kan? True enough no one was there & I had to wait up to almost an hour before I managed to get my things and setting up my metal rack there. Seriously takder mood dah nak bekerja masa tu. But nevertheless, I managed to smile & approached all the people who seems to be interested in the product. Its because I am not really into my duty that day, I decided to skip lunch and proceed with the duties until 7PM straight away. After packing my things, I straight away went back with such frustration inside, not to mentioned the agitated feeling as well. I also inquired if I could start a bit early the next day, Saturday as I wanna go to Anti's place for another "makan makan". She seems hesitated as well & then she told me that she will try & asked Mr Siva, The Manager in-charge in Tesco Mutiara Damansara. She'll call back if its not possible. But if its ok, then she will not return call. Then I decided, might as well start as normal la. Such a hustle. Yeah, I know its the procedure so nothing much can be done right?
Well, whatever. I wanna create the party mood so I am not letting anything stand in my way. No sirrey. So, then off we went to Traders Hotel straightaway. Well, as usual gossip is in the air. Its the what's-the-latest-info-aka-gossip in BTC for Lisa & Zul along the way. I informed Zul of the great news - Zarrin's promotion. He immediately called Zarrin to congratulate him. Unfortunately Zarrin was on duty so he was not able to chit chat on the phone. The next topic was on the it-who-must-not-be-named who seems to dislikes@dissaprove of Zarrin's promotion. The it-who-must-not-be-named who never bother to check the section anymore. Aiyah, 1001 true stories to be shared with Zul & especially Lisa (well, she has left BTC for quite sometime now, besides me and a few others she might not know any staff there anymore. Except for Hadi I believed, for I remember she did mentioned him being her friend's brother). Well, that's that.
Once we arrived, I called Andre to inquire about the venue. Aiyah, he's not here yet. Alamak malunya saya. Rasa macam terhegeh hegeh pulak nak datang awal. Poyonya rasa. I just don't wanna be fashionably late. Like I said before, I never yet had the chance to join in any other occasions held by my colleagues; so I thought perhaps maybe I should not come late. But instead I accidently came early. Earlier than the host. Well, Andre told us that he'll be arriving in 10minutes time.
We went to the 33rd floor and waited outside. Once he arrived, he settled the venue with the PIC and then we were off to the spot. Wallawei, superb view man. I have read the comments through its website and true to what I've read. Nice view of the KLCC and surrounding areas. Lights everywhere, it is just the nicest view of KL which one can enjoy. That's how people once potrayed us Malaysians right? "Do you still live on trees?" That was the most FAQ by the so-called 1st World Country during the early 70's - or at least that's the famous quotes brought by lecturers or Ministers anyway.

Well, there were just the 4 of us and Andre. I introduce :), Lisa & Zul (as Jai's gay partner) wakakakaka. Andre just looked at me with the "you-have-just-gotta-be-kidding-me" kinda look hehehehe when I told him that Zul is Jai's housemate aka gay partner. I know Andre doesn't believe me and surely he knows I am bluffing hehehe. We lepak lepak and sembang sembang a bit.
Well, if I am not mistaken Oni, Nazrin & Kak Yani were the next to come. Followed by Farid & his friend. Next to make an appearance were Ramzul and the clan hehehe. They came together Mas, Aizan & their 2 gal friends. We had a lot of food and drinks. But I must say these were a very 'sopan" & obedient crowd. If it had been my BTC clan, pergh, the next table neighbour will surely curse us before asking to be relocated to another seating area hehehe. Well, it was fun and not really happening but okay lah kan?
I believe everyone is still trying to get to know everyone still & I must say that Andre's party has certainly help to improve our social communication amongst ourselves. I am quite a close & private person I guess. Depends on the other person and situation I hardly open up to people whom I did not know or people whom I am not close to or comfortable with. Well, thats me. After a few backstabbing cases, I am more choosier than ever. People say, once bitten twice shy hehehehe. Me takderlah pemalu tapi penyegan jugak wakakaka.
I remember my 1st few weeks here in MMC. Punyalah tak bercampur dengan orang. Makan pun dekat meja sendiri kalau tak bercampur dengan Jai & Abang Tony. Tapi Abang Tony selalu keluar makan dengan Andre lagi lagi time Ramadhan dulu. Entah yea, masa tu bukan sombong tapi I prefer to sit and watch people before approaching. They have been here earlier than I am therefore, they have their own clique so to speak. Its actually not that hard to talk to people, tapi jenis berat mulut, tulah susahnya. I think the 1st person who spoke to me was Syasya. I had wanted to go to the Surau down on the basement & she showed me the stair case saying that it will take forever to reach there using the lift. Hehehehe from then onwards, I start making friends with Syasya, Mas,Siti & Kak Farah. Next was Kak Ila. Then Kak Liza (she really knows how to cook & she is very rajin to bawak lauk too). There were others too but these are amongst the first people to ever spoken me hehehehe.
Around ten Anti (my manager came) she was bit late because she needs to do some grocery shopping (we will be having another makan makan the very next day at Anti's place). Then came the birthday cake, and as loudly as we can (though not that very loud) we sang the evergreen classic Happy Birthday To You to Andre. After blowing the candle Andre gave a short speech but a very overwhelming one I must say. How he likes working with us and how knowing each and every one of us has adds colour to his life. He enjoys knowing us and spending time with us. And he hopes that we will remain that way if not better. Aaawwwww, such a sweet guy. Who is Andre Raj Pillai in my life? (Yeah, by now you people will say , such a cliche. Each and everytime its the same question to a different name before proceeding to introduce another person who has made an impact to my life. In case you have forgotten, this my blog so suka hatilah kan nak tulis macam mana pun kan? :)
I know him as the most senior staff and also a top scorer here in MMC. I see him as the leader of our team. Next to him will be Hafiz Hassan (I'll save his profile for later edition of my blog). A sweet & simple but yet a charming guy. Likes to smile. Very multitasking (I will not explain that if you don't mind). Very helpful as well. Always there to help us who are in need of his opinion and advise on how to classifiy an advertisement. Likes to smile a lot. When he calls people, he likes to make it loud as if trying to make people jump to their feet (especially to Mas - he likes to tease Mas this way hehehe. Nasib engkaula Mas). He loves BMW; heck he even owns one - and he just turn 25 last Saturday okay?! Yup, in case you haven't noticed; I am jealous here. I love BMW too, but that has to wait until at least ten years from now. BUT ANDRE ALREADY ONWED A BMW! Hwargh jelesnya saya! Jeles lagi dan lagi dan lagi dan lagi.....Okay back to my blog.
Well, back to the events of the night. We left the party at about eleven something. I had to send Nawa before heading to another lepak place hehehehe. Nawa needs to practice for a gig for the next day's event held in Mount Kiara if I am not mistaken. Ler, Nawa tak cakap. Kalau tahu dia ada latihan gig, boleh kami beransur awal. I thought he had wanted to stay a bit late, as he arrives quite late (as compared to us lah kan?). Inside the car Nawa & Zul exchange their knowledge in regards to music eg, favourite bands, favourite genre, what concert did they went to etc. I just found out that Nawa's band is called the "Super Animal Junkie". Macam cecomel pulak. Zul as usual with his Short-Term-Memory Loss syndrome. Kept on asking the same question at least twice before all of us jumped in and scolded him for forgetting the things which have been said just a few minutes ago. Aiyah, this budak has sooo many things inside his mind that he kept forgetting them. Muda lagi tu. Isk isk isk Zul. I hope you won't forget who's your girlfriend or who's your wife nanti. Haru ajer besok besok karang.
Halfway inside the car I accidently dozed off ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....Suddenly became so sleepy. Sedar sedar dah ada di Uptown. Aik, bila pulak plan ke Uptown ni? Then I remembered, originally the guys Zul & :) had plan to go to Kampung Bharu for a freshly made nasi lemak in front of the school. But since we have to go to Damansara to send Nawar, they changed their plan to Uptown instead. Why? Diorang lapar giler! I have had my share of Satay, Popia, Onion Ring but apparently those two are still hungry! Tembolok besar betullah diorang tu. I told :), I wanted to stay and sleep inside the car. Lisa insisted to stay with me, I told her to go on ahead. After all, this was supposed to be a gathering night for her. I'll be fine inside the car. :) told me, "Tapi diorang nak jumpa B". And I got annoyed. "Abang please, I am too sleepy even to sit up straight. Just let me sleep for a few minutes and I'll be fine."
After a few minutes (I don't remember exactly how long) Lisa & me got up and walk slowly towards the eating place. I saw Jai & Sharil there together with :) & Zul. Laa, ada ker mamat 2 orang nih? Jai informed me that he could not make it to the gathering because he had already make plans with his former UITM-mates. Sharil is getting fairer and fairer. Putih gilerr!! "What happen to you?" I asked him. He just smiled. "Kerja dalam air-cond beb. Macam nilah jadinya"."La kami pun kerja dalam air-cond jugak takderlah putih melepak macam kau ni haa".
Sharil is now working with Fitness First, in Uptown, but for the time being he is attached to the Curve branch for his training. He used to be our colleague in BTC, in charge of the Audio section under Erwin. But he stays in the same block as Jai in Palm Spring, same floor in fact. So, we are still able to meet up with each other. We are kinda close in a way. "Mana Ina?" Ina is his girlfriend. Comel and gila gila macam dia jugak. But she is strict under some circumstances. That is one of her characteristics which I admired. Ina went back to Johor till Sunday if I am not mistaken. She has just finished her studies in UITM, taking Mass Comm or was it Journalism. I can't remember. She did her practical with ASTRO but unfortunately chose not to apply for a job there. Well, unfortunately for us ler. Because no more free tickets to any concerts anymore boo hoo hoo. "Oh, Ina takder kau hidup membujang lah yea Sharil?Takper, aku kabo kat Ina nanti dia balik." Hehehehe
Did not spend that much time there. Lisa must be sent home before parents dia carik karang. Yeah I know she's no more an SPM leaver but still, she is still young. Well, younger than the rest of us anyway. So lets not get her into trouble ok.
Tired I am but happy I am too. Now, rest I must. Tomorrow, work I must go. Next blog, write I must. So, wait you must.
