I Am Hungry and Angry

As Abang Anthony got his free food from the food plan scheme for the inbound team, I had asked him to accompany me to go the kedai makan opposite the office. I thought of having Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit and Teh O Ais Limau (the usual menu for me that is). I waited for almost an hour (which was the standard duration of the lunch hour provided to the staff), but except for the drinks nothing came. I was so pissed off that I decided not to mentioned anything when I pay for the drinks after the one hour was up (normally I would just to avoid the waiters from extending their necks and looking for the customer, which in this case is me).
This is how the Malay Restaurants lost to the Mamak's. Have you guys ever checked out on how the Mamak's Super Speed is? The moment your butt is seated on the chair they are already ready with their pens and receipt waiting to take your order (if not they will be there with the memories, notice how they can take a long list of orders just by memorizing it; of course there will be a mistakes in delivering the orders later.
The only time when you will need to wait a bit longer, normally not more than 10 minutes, will be when they have to freshly cooked your order. Orders like Nasi Goreng, Mee Goreng Mamak (which is by the way the most famous menu on each and every Mamak Restaurant there is).
I will definitely remember not to go the Malay Restaurant during peak hours. I think after 2pm would be nice. Sure, I will be a bit hungry by then but I can be certain that I will get my food. :)

My oh my..... was I hungry up til the time I went home. Poor me...Wrong timing.

A Week In My New Position

Well, I believe that by reading the header you guys will have the hint that either (a) I have moved to another department, (b) I got promoted or (c) I found a new job. Jeng Jeng Jeng, any brilliant guesser (If there is there such word) out there?
Hahahahaha yup, I got promoted to a Specialist Level effective on 15 November 2009. We were informed on the 16 November 2009 and started training straightaway. A birthday present for myself who, on 3rd November 2009 had turn 30 years old. :( Like they say, age are only numbers and so I will not let it slow me down.
I am still in training with my former SA, I guess I was born to haunt him wakakakaka. He is a nice guy with a superb technical knowledge. A very soft spoken person and high respect for others. But, sorry girls he's taken. He will be getting married in April which I am by the way, very excited and happy for him.
Going through the training for a bit. I have been taught on how to use the systems, the report templates and schedules by which the reports need to be submitted be it on daily basis, weekly basis and monthly basis. I am still searching for the best method for the feedback and coaching which I will be conducting. I do know its not easy especially the part to motivate and boost the staff's confidence and motivation.
Based on the role play I did, I know I talked a lot and I need to probe or "invite" them to talk and convey their part, their frustrations, their feelings etc so that we can work things out together. Dealing with human ain't easy mate...Not that I did not know about it since I have been working with them for ages now (exaggerating bit on that part). Well, new work, new pay will definititely contributes to new challenges right?
All the best to me!!!

I Am Planning To Write Again

Hello people, how are you doing? Are you feeling well? How's work? How's life? Well, considering that we have not met via the blog for more than a year, it is only justified that I am asking you all these questions. I know that it has been a while since I last typed my thoughts in here. But I have been so busy and plus my computer is now crashed boo hoo hoo. So I have to go to the cyber cafe should I wish to do something related to the PC.
Nevertheless, I do feel the urge to write again eventhough I am certain that no one actually reads my blog; except for me of course.
A lot of things have happened in my life for such a long period. I have enrolled myself for a professional certificate class which was offered by the company. Of course you have pay for it but with a discount surely. Why did I join? Good question.
Well I wanna continue my tertiary level studies and so I thought this is good for me to warm up and see if I can cope with the pretty hectic schedule, deadlines etc. We started off with 80/20 class which pretty much is an English class and presentation revision class for me. I was placed in a group of hard working people and so I have to cope up with them very much. That was a good boost for me. I have to plan my time and work carefully to ensure that everything works fine and smooth for me.
We are always ahead in almost everything and its good so that we have sufficient time to practice and do dry runs for our presentation most of the time. Its nice.
But the challenge will only begin after the real class begins one month from now. Jeng ... Jeng .. Jeng ... Will let you guys know later how its going ok?
